Chrysler has confirmed that they've started shipping out the delayed 2014 Jeep Cherokee to dealers this week.
Shipments of the new model were put on hold due to issues with the Cherokee's software and nine-speed transmission, according to a company spokeswoman.
"Shipping began yesterday," said Jodi Tinson, a Chrysler spokeswoman, according to Edmunds.
A number of photos were released by the automaker of the new Cherokees being shipped out to a Bloomfield Hills, Michigan dealership.
The Cherokee launch is considered the most important one for the automaker this year, and when reports were confirmed that it had been delayed due to more than one issue, people began to get worried.
Chrysler has replaced the Jeep Liberty with the new Cherokee, and it's expected to compete against the Honda CR-V, Ford Escape, and other similar models.
Approximately 9,419 Cherokees were produced in September, according to Chrysler. Around 18,849 Cherokees have been built in 2013.
General Motors also provided a shipping update this year for its 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.
