McLaren delivered the first of its $1.15 million P1 vehicles this week, and also finally revealed the vehicle's performance figures as well.
The 903 hp carbon fiber vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 60 in just 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of 217 mph.
McLaren also claims the P1 is capable of achieving 186 mph from a standstill in just 16.5 seconds, making it one of the fastest cars in the world. The vehicle can cover a quarter mile in 9.8 seconds.
The 1,244 hp Hennessey Performance Venom GT, which hits 186 mph in 13.63 seconds, is the current record holder among production vehicles.
Only 375 of the P1 vehicles will be made, all hand-built at the McLaren Production Center (MPC).
It takes around 17 days to build each P1, according to the automaker.
Once the MPC is at full production, it will be able to build one P1 per day. Production is expected to run through mid-2015.
The hybrid McLaren can go just six miles on electric power alone, and returns an estimated 28 mpg.
