2023 Nissan Z and Electric Ariya Now Open for Reservations in Canada: How Much Will It Cost?

Car buyers in Canada got some good news from Nissan as the Japanese automaker just opened up reservations for the much-awaited 2023 Z model alongside the electric Ariya in their country.

Car buyers in Canada got some good news from Nissan as the Japanese automaker just opened up reservations for the much-awaited 2023 Z model alongside the electric Ariya in their country.

Nissan will offer the 2023 Ariya in six different trims. It will be available with 63- and 87-kWh battery packs, offering a range of up to 300 miles (482 kilometers). The company still has not revealed pricing for this electric vehicle, making it hard for buyers to make a $1,000 CAD deposit for this car.

The 2023 Nissan Ariya's four-wheel-drive variants generate 214 horsepower (160 kW / 217 PS) and 238 horsepower (178 kW / 241 PS). Customers also have the option to upgrade to a more powerful dual-motor all-wheel-drive system that produces combined outputs of 335 horsepower (250 kW / 340 PS) and 389 horsepower (290 kW / 394 PS).

Ariya Engage's features and interior

Regarding the electric Ariya's equipment, the entry-level Engage model has 19-inch alloy wheels and LED lighting units. Buyers will find inside the Ariya Engage a 12.3-inch infotainment system with GPS navigation and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The car's interior also features heated front and rear seats, a dual-zone automatic climate control system, leatherette upholstery, and an eight-way power driver's seat.

Also included in the Ariya are an assortment of safety features such as Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection. The new Nissan Ariya also boasts of the ProPILOT Assist, Rear Automatic Braking, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Intelligent Lane Intervention.

2023 Nissan Z's specs and interior

Regarding the 2023 Nissan Z, the Japanese firm will offer that model in three trims. That includes a special Proto Spec Edition, which buyers can only reserve at Nissan dealerships. The entry-level Z Sport is a sight to behold as the car features 18-inch alloy wheels, a dual exhaust system, and LED lighting units.

The car also features a digital instrument cluster and an 8-inch infotainment system with voice recognition technology supported by Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other highlights inside the Nissan Z include a six-speaker audio system, an automatic climate control system, a retro-inspired gauge pod, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Z model also has intelligent cruise control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a push-button ignition, and a tilt / telescopic steering column.

Nissan made safety a priority when building the Z. The carmaker installed features such as Intelligent Emergency Braking with Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection, Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Blind Spot Warning.

All trims of the Nissan Z feature a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine that generates 400 horsepower (298 kW / 406 PS) and 350 lb-ft (474 Nm) of torque. The V6 can be paired to either a nine-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission.
