We are just a couple of weeks away from Super Bowl LVI, and excitement is building for one of the biggest sports events of the year. Given that tens of millions of people will be tuning in to watch the Cincinnati Bengals take on the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium on February 13, it is an excellent opportunity for brands to showcase their latest products.

Car manufacturers certainly want to get a piece of that action with leading automakers General Motors, Kia, BMW, Nissan, and Toyota confirming that they will air commercials during the Super Bowl LVI.

All eyes will be on BMW's commercial for the big game as this will be the German automaker's first advertisement in the Super Bowl since 2015. That 2015 commercial featured former Today show hosts Bryant Bumbel and Katie Couric promoting the BMW i3.

Nissan will promote its brand new Z sports coupe in Super Bowl LVI. The Japanese manufacturer is ramping up toward its big reveal of the 2023 Z during the Super Bowl with a series of teaser videos called "Thrill Driver."

Nissan has released thus far parts I and II of the action parody series, which stars Eugene Levy, Dave Bautista, and Danai Gurira. The company's teasers introduce the three stars as part of a crew embarking on some sort of heist. The two clips are 30-second teasers, and they can be both seen on Youtube.

General Motors will air a commercial during the Super Bowl for the third year running. Just like BMW, GM has not revealed any details for its ad. Given the company's hard push for electrification, GM's Super Bowl commercial is expected to focus on electric vehicles yet again. The two spots that GM aired last year in Super Bowl LV both focused on its EVs.
