The Sony Xperia XZ and XZ Premium which were announced at the Mobile World Congress on February 27 is reported to be completely waterproof with a 20 MegaPixel back camera. The XZ is one of the four devices that Sony unveils during the Mobile World Congress.

According to PhoneArena, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium will have a display resolution of 2160 x 3840. It will feature a 5.5-inch display from the top edge of the phone to the bottom. It is expected as well that the Sony Xperia XZ will have the Snapdragon 821 chipset.

The battery that the phone would consist of would be as large as 3900mAh. This is considered to be a large battery that could last for hours just for a smaller device.

The Xperia XZ would also have pre-installed Android 7.1 software.  It is said that the device will equip a 4GB of RAM. It is not yet clear on what ROM the phone could consist of.

An astonishing feature would be the 20MP camera with ultra-fast photo captures and 960 fps slow motion recording, a feature that SONY did not focus on with its previous phones. The phone would feature the all new MotionEye, which could capture details that the naked eye cannot see.

Furthermore, Leakite writes that there is a rumored picture of the telephone including some of the specs. It is rumored that the Xperia XZ would be 7.99mm thick. There would be a "glass loop" around the surface of the phone, meaning that the phone would only have metal parts at the top and bottom only. The phone is said to come in with the Gorilla Glass 5, which would help the phone survive a 1.6-meter drop.

More specs are still yet to be unveiled but one thing we know about the Xperia XZ and XZ Premium is that it is totally water resistant. The phone would not be damaged if it gets wet in the rain or drops inside a bathtub as long as the ports are completely covered. The phone, however, should not be submerged in seawater or hard liquids and drinks.
