"Attack on Titan" (AoT) Season 2 will return on the 1st of April. Funimation has already confirmed the simulcast.

Gamespot has announced that the second season of the popular anime finally has a release date. It will air on April 1.

The popular action anime also known as "Shingeki No Kyojin." Season 1 was originally released in April of 2013, and its last episode was aired in September 2013. It had a total of 25 episodes.

"AoT" is an anime series adapted from a popular and award-winning Japanese manga of the same title (originally "Shingeki No Kyojin"). The story is adapted from the contents of the first eight volumes of Hajime Isayama's manga.

The "Attack on Titan" anime is set in a world where humanity is forced to live behind enormous concentric walls due to Titans. The Titans are humongous humanoids that are truly terrifying due to their taste for human flesh. The Titans do not seem to like eating humans out of hunger but out of pleasure.

The storyline follows the adventures of Eren Yeager and his adopted sis Mikasa Ackerman. They are also joined by their friend Armin Arlert. The trio's lives are forever changed after a Colossal Titan breaks through the wall into their hometown. They vow to avenge their home and the losses they suffered by reclaiming the world from the Titans. They are eventually joined by the Scout Regiment who are an elite group of soldiers who aid them in fighting against the Titans.

Earlier this year, IGN reported the first official promo video for "AoT" Season 2. There were a lot of big reveals in the video. It has surprised and shocked many fans, many of whom posted reaction videos upon watching it.

What new adventures will Eren, Mikasa, and Armin get into for "Attack on Titan" Season 2? If you are not yet familiar with the anime series, "AoT" Season 1 is currently available to stream on Crunchyroll, Netflix Hulu, and Funimation. For those who are up to date with the manga, they are already in Season 3 or 4 which the anime series will hopefully continue to follow.
