‘Halo Wars 2’ Update: Microsoft Has Finally Released The Cinematic Launch Trailer For The RTS Sequel

"Halo Wars 2" is only a couple of weeks away, and to keep the excitement going, Microsoft recently released its intensely made cinematic launch trailer. It not only gives players a sneak peek into what is going to unfold but also it give a glimpse of the latest big bad.

The latest cinematic launch trailer for "Halo Wars 2" sets up the story for the real-time strategy (RTS) sequel. We also get to see the evil Atriox and his company.

This baddie is a beast so bad that even the "whole damn Covenant couldn't contain him" even at the height of its power, reports PCGamer. If you are new to "Halo Wars 2," then the Covenant is an immense alliance of alien races that have withstood the test of time.

Further, Blitz mode, an interesting card-based multiplayer, is also set to be offered in "Halo Wars 2," aside from the new story campaign and standard multiplayer. There is plenty of things to do in this sequel. Aaron Greenberg, Microsoft's Head of Xbox Games Marketing, tweeted that there will be "lots of surprises" in the upcoming "Halo Wars 2" for this week. The newly launched cinematic launch trailer is only just the beginning.

The cinematic launch trailer has been cut from CG cut-scenes which are made by Blur. This is the studio behind nearly all the amazing CG trailers that have been released for most games that you can name.

"Halo Wars 2" will officially launch on Feb. 21 on Xbox One and PC. But for those who bought the $80 Ultimate Edition, they can begin playing the game on Feb. 17.

According to GameSpot, since the Ultimate Edition is an Xbox Play Anywhere Title if players buy it digitally on one platform, then they get access to the other platform for free. Plus, all progress will be available for all platforms including achievements and saves.
