2016 Electric Cars List Of The Best, Expect More In The Near Future

2016 has been a very important turning point for electric cars. Perhaps the emissions scandal contributed to this, and now we've got a great 2016 electric cars list to choose from. With the emergence of Tesla and other big names in car manufacturing chiming in, there are many more options, faster charging times, discounts and points given by the government, and longer range vehicles.

Here at Auto World News, we gave you our list of the best 2016 electric cars. Some are already in the market while others will arrive within the next few months.

Faraday Future FFZERO1

Although the Californian company has been tainted by different issues, they presented a prototype of the Faraday Future FFZERO1 with 1,000 hp as their platform for their 2016 electric cars and coming. It will be a very flexible electric car, with the possibility of having one to four engines and a system of batteries chain.

Hyundai Ioniq

Next on our best 2016 electric cars list is the Hyundai Ioniq. This electric car is available in three types of propulsion: 100$ electric, hybrid or plug-in hybrid. The first, already a reality, announced a range of 280 km, has 120 hp, and will be available early 2017.

Jaguar I-Pace

There are many firsts in 2016 electric cars list, as said by NewAtlas. An example is the Jaguar's first EV that will be an SUV 5-seater, with two engines that can produce 400 hp, accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4 seconds, and go for a range of up to 500 km. It is hoped that the Jaguar I-Pace hits dealerships in late 2017 or early 2018.

Volkswagen ID

The Volkswagen ID will be the first 2016 electric car to have the modular kit. Golf electrical represents a new design DNA that provides great livability and modularity. Indeed, this Boston dealership, as reported by GreenCarReports, is right that there's still a lot of great news coming to the EV world in the next few years.

NextEV NIO EP9

Self-proclaimed as the fastest electric car in the world with the best record in Nürburgring (7: 05.12), the Chinese NextEV NIO DS9 is next on our 2016 electric cars list of the best as it has four engines that jointly develop 1,360 hp and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds. It also reaches 313 km/h. It promises an autonomy of more than 400 km, too, so it looks promising. We will see in the next months if it delivers.

Tesla Model 3

Last on our 2016 electric cars list of the best is from the king of EVs, Elon Musk. Tesla Model 3 is probably one of the EVs with the highest number of people captured worldwide. After the high-priced Model S and Model X, now comes the turn of the Tesla Model 3, which has five seats that feature a 350 km range, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 6 seconds, and a US price of around $ 35,000. This makes it more accessible, proof of which is the 500,000 orders already placed for the vehicle.
