'Mad Max'-Inspired Ubers Hit Seattle Roads For Free

"Mad Max" and Uber fans in Seattle must have been psyched to hear about the ride-sharing service offering trips around the city this past weekend in cars inspired by the action film.

The move, done in partnership with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, was aimed at promoting the highly anticipated "Mad Max" video game that launched on Tuesday, according to Vulture.

The "Fury Road"-inspired rides were made available from Aug. 28 to Aug. 31 to those that were going to and from Seattle's PAX Prime gaming convention. The cars could seat either one, three, or four other riders.

Uber offered the rides for free, as "dollars are worthless in the wasteland," The Verge reported.
