Xbox One owners can now buy games remotely and have it automatically downloaded to their consoles, thanks to a new update.
The update, which rolled out on Aug. 17, offers "one of the most requested features, based on recent Xbox feedback, said Xbox Live chief Larry Hryb.
Microsoft updates its consoles every month to try keeping owners happy and to try drawing in more buyers. Updates are made based on feedback by Xbox users, according to Hryb.
"Today (Sunday), we will begin rolling out the next Xbox One system update to fans around the world, which will include improved social features to make sharing your gaming experiences with friends better and easier," Hryb said in his blog post last weekend. "These new features are a result of your invaluable feedback, including some of the most requested features seen on Xbox Feedback."
Users will also get an updated activity feed, specifically in the way users interact with friends.
The updated feed will let users post text to your feed and like or comment on other items as well, according to Hryb. Game clips and other items can also be shared privately or publicly, and you can turn off notifications while watching videos.
Friends list will also show how long a friend has been online, a notification will pop up when your controller's battery gets low, and the Blu-Ray player app supports 3D Blu-ray, according to Hryb.
The update should reach all Xbox One users over the next couple of days.
The next big update will take place in September, and a preview has already started rolling out to Xbox Live members. It will feature a number of upgrades like an updated Party App, a new Friends section, updates to SmartGlass, and a boot-to-TV option.
