Spectators were amazed to the Bentley EXP12 Speed 6e that was launched at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. It is a concept car showing that Bentley will soon embark into electric cars. Although Bentley is known more for putting powerful 12V engines on marquee cars, it is trying to challenge other companies like Tesla in electric car manufacturing.

The roadster would be the first electric car that Bentley Motors have thought of producing. The concept is more than just its brother EXP 10 Speed 6 with the roof taken off and a battery in place instead of petrol engines.

Although no actual specs were disclosed during its launching, sources reported that the Bentley EXP12 Speed 6e can have a 310 miles capacity in a single charge. That would approximately be a distance between Monaco and Milan or London to Paris. It is going to have a fast inductive charging feature for ease of travel. The design concept is a picture of muscle and athleticism inspired by great architecture. The wing mirror was removed in favor of rear cameras. The steering wheel has two buttons for speed controls. One button is to boost car speed and the second is for a reduction in case of urban driving.

The Bentley EXP12 Speed 6e was conceptualized on the platform of fuel economy and pollution emission. Auto Blog reports that Bentley Motors believes that an electric car should be as capable as the conventional gas-powered counterparts. The interior of the car is both futuristic and exciting. The steering wheel is cut like an airplane and crammed with buttons. High-quality leather and copper trim dominate the surface of the interior. A large OLED showcases most of the controls.

When the car is running, there is a large number 6 showing inside the front grilles. It would be very interesting to see if the car will feature the concept shown during the presentation.

The Bentley EXP12 Speed 6e is a mixture of class, speed and technology. Bentley followers should look forward for the mass production of this electric car.
