The Toyota GT 86 860 Special Edition is the new name for the new version of the old Scion FR-S. The new model now comes with a brand-new trim package.

The new GT 86 860 Special Edition has been redesigned with accessories. It now sports the new rear spoiler sitting on 17-inch wheels.

The new model also comes with heated side-view mirrors. Aside from the mirrors, the front seats are also heated, which carry the black leather skin accented with orange stitches. The same theme is applied over the parking brake handle and shifter boot.

Toyota also aims to improve aerodynamics. The new 860 Special Edition comes with a belly pan to provide better aerodynamics.

Adding to the brand-new trim package is the LED fog-lights. Moreover, the new model features keyless entry and push-button start. It also has dual-zone automatic climate control.

On the inside, the new placard comes iconic on the center console of the new 860 Special Edition. The car also comes with a 4.2-inch multi-function display with a G-force meter, myriad, stopwatch and other functions.

With regard to performance, the new 860 Special Edition with manual transmission can deliver a stable 205 horsepower and 156 lb-ft of torque. This meant the new model has increased by 5 horsepower and 5 lb-ft of torque than the old model.

Furthermore, the manual transmission will greatly capitalize on the enhanced shift quality of the new model. This is made possible by the more finely polished gears and the automaker's recommended kind of lubricant.

In two weeks, the 2017 Toyota 86 860 Special Edition is expected to be available at dealerships. The new model with standard six-speed manual transmission will bear the $30,040 price tag, inclusive of the $885 delivery fees. Those who want more can acquire an auto-box by paying an additional $720, Autoguide has noted.

Buyers may also choose from the two color options: Halo White and Supernova Orange. Buyers must also rush to grab their desired color option as Toyota will only produce 860 units of each color variant of the 2017 Toyota GT 86 860 Special Edition.
