Mercedes-Maybach is out in the market with its first ever SUV. The new vehicle is called the G650 Landaulet. It is decided that the vehicle will be made available for across the world at the 2017 Geneva auto show that is scheduled for next month.

It does appear that the new model is actually a good spin-off of the G-Class. It was anticipated that the vehicle would be in the pick-up category. But surprisingly, it turned out to be an open top model. So, the new Landaulet is a sedan. For the passengers riding at the back, a part of the roof can be folded to provide an open-air experience, reported Motor Authority.

The seats at the front of the G650 Landaulet are placed under the closed roof. The rear seats are covered by a soft-top roof that can open or close at the push of a button. The rear seats also enjoy a massage function. Also, the front and rear seats can be separated by a partition glass. Privacy is ensured as the glass has an electronic tint.

The interiors of the vehicle look stunning with an excellent leather trim with diamond stitching. The vehicle has a high-grade chrome-plating. There are three colors that one can choose from for the roof. The vehicle also has two 10-inch entertainment screen, folding tables, and temperature controlled cup holders reported Car Advice.

The vehicle provides almost 18 inches of ground clearance as it has pumped fenders made from carbon fiber and high-riding portal axles. The vehicle is powered with a familiar twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V-12 of the Mercedes family. It provides 621 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque.

The price of the vehicle is not yet announced. It is expected that the starting price will exceed over $225,925. It is officially announced only 99 units of the vehicle will be built and the deliveries will take place in the fall.
