1500-HP MP’s Bugatti Chiron Recent Crashing: A Mechanical Failure Caused Its Downfall?

A recent image of the 1500-HP MP's Bugatti Chiron shows it has crashed and badly wrecked, with reports speculating it happened somewhere along the streets in Europe. Who would have thought that this modern and hyper supercar will end up getting ditched?

For starters, Bugatti Chiron is a facelifted outcome of Veyron. Initially, Will Netuschill, the head of engineering for Bugatti, ended up with a newly developed supercar concept when they simulated to do a facelift for Veyron Super Sport. As it turned out, its horsepower has increased from the prototype of 1200 to 1500 for Chiron. As a matter of fact, Netuschill also stated that Bugatti Chiron is a car with a wholly special driving performance, CARANDDRIVER reported.

For a car that initially costs $2.7 million, along with an 8.0-liter 16-cylinder engine and carries four turbos to make 1500 hp and 1180 lb-ft of torque, it does not make Bugatti Chiron a crash-proof vehicle --- but simply, a no-power-tuned version of Veyron. Just a couple of months back, Bugatti car enthusiasts were so excited about the delivery of their Bugatti Chirons to the comforts of their garages. When in fact, based on the viral picture, the wrecked Chiron looks somewhat newly shipped. As such, anticipations increased about the potential mechanical failure Bugatti Chiron might have caused since it is just a new model and no further testimonies can prove its reliability.

However, Manuela Hohne did not confirm it as cause of the accident. The Bugatti spokesperson shared that it is the driver's negligence that caused it to happen. Fortunate enough, no one got harmed based on the reports, according to MOTOR AUTHORITY's blog post. It does not suffice to conclude that it's mechanical failure that led to its wreckage --- not until it's further investigated and proven, though. It happens and it just happened. Everyone can only hope that the particular Bugatti Chrion road ditch will not be enough reason of its sales' downfall in the market.
