Reasons Behind The New Lotus Elise’s Release Confirmation In 2020

A new variant of Lotus Elise finally gets to be at reach and available in 2020, as confirmed by Jean-Marc Gales.

Gales, Lotus Cars' head executive, validated that the company is already moving to produce its next generation sports car variant. After Lotus cars were branded as financially instable and self-insufficient since 2000, this is the first time it has gone back to the spotlight; most of all, with news about Lotus Elise being deployed and made available by 2020.

If anyone can recall, Jean-Marc Gales joined Lotus Cars two and a half years ago, putting a lot of focus in turning the tables against the company's current financial situation. He instigated strategic and spinning plans, even if it means putting more priority on its current product range development, managing, and trimming down operational costs.

The efforts put in by Gales had resulted to a positive cash-flow into Lotus Car's account last August - first-time ever in the company's history. In return, it gives more sustainability to the company when funding development of new variant and brands of Lotus Cars. That is where Lotus Elise was given birth from, as reported on Autocar.

Why is everyone excited to hear about the new Lotus Elise production?

The new Lotus Elise, which will be Lotus' next generation sports car, is designed to be a bit superior-looking; though, it would still stay within the 1000kg mark. Its weight will also be increased as compared to the current ones we see now, according to a blog post on CarAdvice.

Lotus Elise, by then, will be wearing the new version of Lotus's current signature or logo --- along with an extruded aluminum framework or bodywork.

Gales is primarily behind the rise of Lotus Cars again and as a matter of fact, this genius and his team keep on improving the developmental, financial, and operational aspects of the company.

It is indeed not surprising to know that Lotus Cars is back in the sports car business again; most of all, with Lotus Elise on the works at its backend now.
