Toyota has confirmed its 2014 Toyota Sienna minivan recently earned a five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The Sienna received five stars in the side crash test, and four stars in front and rollover impact tests, according to the NHTSA.
Standard safety features found on the 2014 Sienna includes antilock brakes, electronic stability control, and traction control.
The Sienna competes with similar vehicles like the 2014 Honda Odyssey, Chrysler Town & Country, and Nissan Quest.
Toyota's latest Sienna also comes equipped with seven airbags, like a driver's knee airbag, and side curtain airbags that cover three rows.
NHTSA's rating applies for the front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive Sienna vehicles, according to Toyota.
The 2014 Sienna received "Good" ratings in every crash test conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, including the difficult moderate overlap front crash test.
IIHS' moderate overlap front crash test was designed to replicate what would happen when two vehicles of the same weight crash into each other going under 40 mph.
