The new 2014 Hyundai Elantra Coupe will be sold for a base price of $20,410, including an $810 shipping fee.

The price is a $2,020 increase compared to its predecessor, the 2013 Hyundai Elantra Coupe.

Hyundai also confirmed this week that the new Elantra Coupe is only offered in one trim level now.

The automaker said recently that the 2013 Hyundai Elantra Coupe GS and SE trim levels have all been consolidated into one base vehicle for the 2014 model year.

The Elantra Coupe mainly competes with the similar 2014 Honda Civic Coupe for customers.

Hyundai's Technology package will add about $4,200 to the price of the 2014 Elantra Coupe.

The Technology package combines a navigation system, rearview camera, power sunroof, automatic headlights, premium audio system, LED rear taillights, projector headlights, among other new features.

Hyundai introduced the new Elantra Coupe at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show.

The updated Elantra Coupe also features a standard 173-horsepower 2.0-liter Nu gasoline direct injection four-cylinder engine, linked to a six-speed automatic transmission with manual control, according to Hyundai.

Interested customers can expect the engine to add 25 more hp compared to the previously used 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine found in the 2013 model.
