"Tik Tok" singer Ke$ha has entered rehab to treat an unspecified eating disorder.

The pop star has released a statement saying that she will spend 30 days in treatment, Entertainment Weekly reported.

"I'm a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself but I've found it hard to practice," Ke$ha said in the statement. "I'll be unavailable for the next 30 days, seeking treatment for my eating disorder...to learn to love myself again exactly as I am."

The announcement came as something of a surprise since Ke$ha, despite her party girl persona, hasn't made many waves for her personal life. She's had a few quirky interviews but isn't known as tabloid fodder, instead seeming to focus on her career.

The singer, who rose to fame with her 2010 debut album, "Animal," spawning hit singles like "Your Love Is My Drug," has had a busy and successful year.

She released a music video for her single "Dirty Love" this week. Featuring the pop star in a club, the clip was Ke$ha's directorial debut.

Also in the last year, Ke$ha's MTV reality show, "My Crazy Beautiful Life," aired its first and second seasons, according to Rolling Stone.

She recently worked with rapper Pitbull for "Timber" and played shows in Dubai on Feb. 13, another in Hammond, Ind., on March 15 and in Green Bay, Wis., on April 13, Rolling Stone reported.

"Dirty Love" is a single off Ke$ha's second full record, "Warrior," which was released in November 2012 with lead single, "Die Young."

Described as "brash and driven," Ke$ha hit the scene with an appearance on Flo Rida's hit "Right Round" in 2009 and soon after cemented her pop star status with her own No. 1 single "Tik Tok."
