iOS 7 Jailbreak Update: New Download Might Come Soon, No Timetable Set

An iOS 7 jailbreak from the Evad3rs is still predicted to be released within the next couple of months, but an official release date has yet to be revealed still by the team.

Since iOS 7 was released in September, Apple users have patiently been waiting for someone to jailbreak it, but no one has been able to due to Apple's tighter security in the operating system.

Most media outlets believe that a jailbreak won't be released for iOS 7 before 2014, but that could change by this time next week if the Evad3rs are able to make a major breakthrough.

It hasn't helped the team that someone is using the Twitter handle @evad3rs_team to spread "news" regarding the status of the jailbreak.

Once the team was alerted of the fake account, who also has a Facebook profile, they started warning fans to only pay attention to news released by @evad3rs on Twitter or news released by specific team members.

The fake Twitter account has since been suspended.

Several fake websites have also been popping up left and right, promising a jailbreak for devices but first requiring a fee. The one rule to remember when considering a jailbreak download is that a legit jailbreak that actually works won't require a fee.  Most that do are a scam, looking to hack into your bank account or possibly give your device a virus.

Some of the fake jailbreaks are listed for over $50.

The website for the evasiOn jailbreak download was one of the most popular websites after the jailbreak was released, and approximately 20 million users downloaded the app according to Forbes.

It took the Evad3rs five months to release a successful jailbreak for iOS 6.

iOS 7 is available for the iPhone  4, 4S, 5, 5S, and 5C, according to Apple.
