Tesla Motors said that it has set up 23 Supercharger stations un the U.S. and is on course to cover 98 percent of the U.S. and parts of Canada no later than 2015.

Most of the stations can be found in California, though two are in Texas, and one is in Colorado. Telsa is preparing to set up charging stations in Utah, Nevada, Georgia, and other locations as well though.

Coast-to-coast travel using just Supercharger stations will be possible by 2014 according to Tesla.

Six stations have been set up in Europe, though more are scheduled to be finished before the end of the year.

Supercharger stations can be used, for free, to charge Model S vehicles.

"This year has already been one of tremendous growth and expansion throughout Europe for Tesla and Model S," said CEO Elon Musk in a press statement.

Superchargers can be found near a number of different locations like diners, rest stops, and shopping centers.

Tesla owners are able to find Superchargers through Google Maps and can use the Model S touchscreen to find the nearest station.

Recently Musk revealed he was taking a six-day family trip in his Model S from California to New York. He claims that the trip will only require nine-hours of charging total.

Supercharger stations can charge a Model S to 50 percent in just 20 minutes.

Tesla has a plan in place to have 100 Supercharger stations open in the U.S. and Canada by 2015.
