Toyota announced this week that it will conduct two different recalls involving heat issues with hybrids and an engine problem with select Lexus vehicles.
The automaker said that it was recalling approximately169,000 vehicles including the Lexus GS350 and IS350 over a problem in the engine assembly process, according to Reuters.
No injuries or crashes as a result of either issue has been reported as of press time.
The Japanese automaker said the recall affects 133,000 Lexus RX400H SUVs manufactured during March 2005 through June 2011, and Highlander SUVs manufactured between February 2005 and May 2007.
Transistors used in the hybrids inverters could "experience heat damage" that could cause the vehicles to stop, according to Reuters.
Toyota will replace a module inside the inverter, which should take around three to four hours, according to Reuters.
In a separate recall, Toyota is recalling the Lexus GS350, manufactured between July 2005 and July 2011, Lexus IS350 manufactured between August 2005 and June 2011, and Lexus IS350C.
Over 106,000 vehicles in North America and 59,000 in Japan will recalled.
The recall was decided on due to an issue in the vehicle's engine. Bolts used to secure the variable-valve timing system could come loose, according to Toyota. The issue could cause the engine to stop.
Toyota will replace the variable-valve timing system, which will take approximately six hours, free of charge, according to Reuters.
Owners of each vehicle will be notified by next month.
