The 2017 Volvo S60 and V60 Polestar and two entirely different cars from the Scandinavian giant. Volvo is known for its elegant and conservative characteristics - from design both interior and exterior and even to its color choices. This time, Volvo proved that it can also be playful, rugged, powerful, and out-of-the-box.

Volvo definitely used a different formula for making both S60 and V60 Polestar faster, more powerful, and lighter altogether. The first Polestar S60 was a 2014 model and it was powerful producing 350-horsepower because of its turbocharged inline-6. It has grown in sales steadily. From 100 cars in 2014, it jumped to 750 a year later. Most of the sales were in the US and the rest were mostly in Canada.

The 2017 model is now powered with turbocharged and supercharged 2.0-liter inline-4 which makes for a more powerful car as it can produce 362-horsepower and 347 pound-feet of torque. It is now mated with a faster-shifting eight-speed automatic with specific Polestar tuning.

The 2017 Volvo S60 and V60 Polestar are faster than ever. The 2017 Volvo S60 can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 4.4-seconds as compared 4.6-seconds with the six-cylinder. The V60, on the other hand, can do 4.5-seconds. Both can reach a top speed of 155 mph.

Both cars also boast of impressive and excellent suspension system. The 2017 S60 and V60 Polestar provide outstanding handling and ride quality. On tough road conditions, both cars are able to glide on it smoothly without the annoying and uncomfortable shaking. This is because of its Polestar Ohlins shock absorbers, front strut brace which is reinforced with carbon fiber.

To add, the V60 Polestar has a fuel economy of 20 mpg in the city, 27 on the highway, and 23 mpg combined. While both cars boast of better engine, character, and ride quality, it can improve more on its fuel efficiency. Other cars of its kind offer better, but since this is a fast car, fuel economy may not be the main priority.

For its character, the color Cyan is way different from the usual colors that other Volvo cars sport. The color gives it more uniqueness, something that suggests serious performance and playful character. Both the 2017 S60 and V60 Polestar are definitely different and are not the usual Volvo that everyone is accustomed to.
