Xiaomi MIUI 8.2 Stable ROM Update Now Available

The Xiaomi MIUI 8.2 update is rolling out to several supported devices soon! In particular, the Mi Mix and Mi Note 2 flagship models are getting a Xiaomi MIUI Stable ROM 8.2 version.

According to a report by Gizbot, the MIUI 8.2 update will bring a lot of improvements to the MIUI launcher. While no new significant feature is available in the update, the improvements still help offer a better overall experience for users. Other new features include an improved layout for notification toggles, an antivirus scan for apps, and brand new automation tasks.

Additionally, the Xiaomi MIUI 8.2 update changelog also saw changes in UI adjustments for toggles, battery saver toggle on notification shade, and control of automated tasks. In addition, swipe to delete the notifications on lock screen is also new as well as home screen settings and improved layout for toggles. Finally, a brand new system for sounds and ringtones was also added as well as the removal of floating notifications on DND mode.

Xiaomi notes that this rollout will initially be available for select units. Currently, Xiaomi MIUI update is available for the Mi Max, Mi Max Prime, Mi 4i, Mi 4, Mi 3, Mi Note, Redmi 1S, and the Redmi Note 4G. For users of these units, they need to check the update feature of their ROM in order to get this update.

In the future, the Xiaomi MIUI 8.2 update will also be available for the Redmi 2, Redmi 2 Prime, Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm, and the Redmi Note 3 Special Edition. It will also be made available for the Redmi Note 4 MTK, Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note Prime, and the Mi 2/2S. The update will also be available for the Mi 5, Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus, Redmi 3/Prime, Redmi 3S/Prime, and Redmi Note 4 Qualcomm in the future as well.
