"Middle-Earth: Shadow of War" has finally been confirmed and it has an awesome trailer, following an early leak. Warner Bros. officially announced the follow-up to the 2014 "Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor" with a new CG video.

Similarly, with the first game, the sequel is yet again developed by Monolith Productions. And they are promising a "richer, more personal, and expansion world" for the new game. Also, players can expect new heroes and of course villains including "iconic locations, original enemy types, even more personalities, and a new cast of characters with untold stories."

Plot. The events of the game are set between "The Hobbit" and "Lord of the Rings" and will pick up where "Shadow of Mordor" left. Talion and Celebrimbor return and must "go behind enemy lines to forge an army and turn all of Mordor against the Dark Lord Sauron."

They will be facing enemies, some of which were shown in the newly released trailer for "Middle-Earth: Shadow of War." Among them are Balrog, Nazgûl, and a vast army of orcs.

New elements. The Nemesis system also returns on "Middle-Earth: Shadow of War" bringing with it an expansion from the first game. It features an element called "Followers." These are characters that will add entirely new story line of loyalty, betrayal, and revenge, reports IGN. The "Nemesis Fortresses" has been also added.

"Middle-Earth: Shadow of War" has been confirmed by Microsoft that it will be an Xbox Play Anywhere title for Xbox One and Windows 10, according to GameSpot. Further, Microsoft announced that the game will be available on Project Scorpio this holiday. The game will also be available on PS4 Pro.

"Middle-Earth: Shadow of War" will be available in North America on Aug. 22 and Europe on Aug. 25. But there will be a gameplay unveiling on March 8. The game will be available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Until then, stay tuned for more updates on the fight versus good and evil and who gets to reign over Mordor.
