An Argentine woman reportedly married her twin sister's killer on Valentine's Day in a wedding that has shocked the world according to the Daily Mail.co.uk.

Edith Casas, 22, married Victor Cingolani, 33, in a ceremony that took place less than a year after he was sentenced to a 13-year prison term for killing her twin sister. Casas insists that her new groom is innocent and had nothing to do with the 2010 shooting.

The wedding ceremony took place in the same city where the murder took place, and the couple was met by a mob of angry protesters who threw eggs and stones at the couple. Cingolani dressed in disguise to quickly be transferred back to a local prison to continue his sentence.

"I'm going to get married to the person I love and not the person who killed my sister," Edith said before the wedding according to MStarz.com. "Victor is not a violent person and I'm not mad. We've got no doubts about what we're doing. We love each other."

Johana Casas was shot twice in the head in Pico Truncade, Argentina only days before her 20th birthday in 2010 according to Yahoo. Her body was discovered outside the city and Cingolani, her former boyfriend, was convicted this past June for the crime.

Cingolani still claims he is innocent, and it seems that was enough proof for Edith as the two have been dating the last five years.

The couple was originally going to get married in December, but the twins mother Marcelina Casas requested the ceremony to be suspended at the last minute, which was approved by Judge Gabriela Zapat.

The twins father Valentin Casas also doesn't approve of the marriage according to an interview with the Clarin newspaper.

"Johana is with God and Edith is with the Devil." said to Valentin Casas according to Clarin."There are no words to describe what Edith is going to do. She's guilty of a terrible betrayal."

Cingolani's sister and brother-in-law acted as witnesses during the 20-minute ceremony, but Edith's relatives, who have disowned her, did not attend.
