Jenny McCarthy Show Is 'Too Sexy' For Josh Groban? Ballad Singer Runs From Half-Naked Go-Go Dancers

Ballad singer Josh Groban made an early curtain call, reportedly bailing minutes before a taping of Jenny McCarthy's new show on VH1 because it was "too sexy," leaving the host without a guest to talk to on the show's first taping.

The "You Raise Me Up" singer was set to take the stage in the TV studio with McCarthy but his team of handlers decided to pull the plug on the appearance after seeing the scantily-clad go-go dancers McCarthy planned to use as on-stage entertainment during the taping, deeming them too racy.

"[His team] took a look at [the go-go dancers] and thought they were a little too sexy for their taste," McCarthy told "Access Hollywood", according to the New York Post.

"I feel like - even though Jay Leno is sexy and all - I wanted to bring some sexy girls like you'd see in a nightclub," she joked in the "Access Hollywood" interview. "My show is very much like a nightclub - we have a bartender, a DJ, so I thought let's have some go-go dancers, dressed the same as you see in Vegas. Kind of cabaret style."

The former Playboy model didn't let the absence of her guest star deter her from completing the show. She improvised a new plan and called her sister and makeup artist JoJo to step in Groban's place.

"I've been in this business so long that I can handle changes, so I threw that script away," she said, according to the New York Post. "We threw JoJo in and said, 'Let's go, girl!'"

In a statement obtained by the New York Post, McCarthy's spokesperson said Jenny has no hard feeling against Groban and that he would be welcome back on the show.

Josh Groan's sixth studio album, "All That Echoes," was released earlier this month.

McCarthy also made headlines recently by defending her cousin comedienne Melissa McCarthy, after a film critic made fun of her weight.
