A baby barely avoided death this week after the car she was in skidded out of control on a Russian highway according to ABC News.
A 1-year-old girl flew out of her parents Mitsubishi SUV after the vehicle apparently hit a patch of ice while driving this week. The girl, who was not properly strapped in, was ejected from the vehicle and landed face down on the highway.
The whole incident was captured by a truck who just so happened to be filming right behind the SUV while driving on the same road.

A Russian news report stated that the 53-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle due to the ice and while trying to "overtake another car" as well. He was cited for treating his child like "a doll" on the shelf under the back windshield, instead of in an actual carseat.
As you can see in the video, a passing truck barely missed running over the girl. Soon after the crash, the driver quickly got out, picked up the child, and brought her back inside the vehicle.
The Russian report stated the baby suffered serious injuries to her face and head, but shouldn't suffer from any long term issues.
Russian police have called for stricter child safety laws this past year, as they're hoping to reduce the chance of injuries on the road by half before 2014.
"Retaining chair capable of 2-3 times to reduce the risk of death of a child, so the first tooth is not necessary to give a silver spoon, and a car seat," said Pediatric surgeon Vladimir Rozinov MOH said this week according to Newsru.com.
