A San Francisco man has been accused of setting his girlfriend on fire after a dispute at a local laundromat this weekend.

The woman, 25-year-old Starr Lamare was hospitalized with "life threatening injuries" according to the NBC. Dexter Oliver, 22, has been charged with pouring flammable liquid on Lamare and setting her on fire.

Lamare was checked into St. Francis Hospital burn center and has been treated for several "severe burns" according to NBC.

Investigators have been working at two crime scenes for the attack according to ABC. Witnesses have reported that Lamare was lit on fire, managed to run a few blocks down the street in the direction of her home. Shortly after emergency crews reached her and brought her to a hospital.

"She took off her shirt and she dropped it off there, and then she was running because she got burnt because of the shirt," one witness said to ABC. "And then the guy, I guess that had burnt her, took her purse and then ran."

Police are still searching for Oliver as he fled the scene shortly after setting Lamare on fire. The two had only been dating for "about six months" according to Lamare's family. She is also a mother of three children.

The argument reportedly started over clothes they were washing at the Laundromat according to ABC. Lamare wanted to leave the clothes at the laundromat, Oliver didn't want to leave them unattended. Lamare stated she does it all the time, and that's when Oliver got mad and threw the clothes to the ground.

Oliver allegedly ran all the way home, found a can of gasoline, and ran back to the laundromat.

"Most of her face is burnt," Lamare's sister, Precious Craig, said to KGO in San Francisco. "Just a little bit of hair is still there, but most of her face is burned."
