Toyota revealed this week that they have reached a multi-year agreement with Richmond International Raceway. The weekend of April 26 through 27 will feature the Toyota Owners 400 NASCAR Spring Cup Series race and ToyotaCare 250 Nationwide Series race at the track.

"This partnership allows us to align with a premium brand that has been supporting NASCAR for nearly a decade," said RIR President Dennis Bickmeier in the press release. "These multi-year entitlements will allow Richmond International Raceway to continue delivering the high-quality events our fans have enjoyed for 60 years. To put on these NASCAR spectacles, we require two core ingredients: the fans and the sponsors, both of which drive our business and allow us to provide top-notch events."
Toyota has a long history at the Richmond Raceway, and has seven NASCAR Sprint Cup Series wins overall at the track. NASCAR racers that have won for Toyota includes Kyle Busch has won four times, Denny Hamlin twice, and Clint Bowyer has won once at the track.
Toyota made its NASCAR debut in 2004 according to the press release when it entered NASCAR's World Truck Series, becoming the first new engine company to compete full-time in one of NASCAR's top three levels of competition in over 50 years.
The company entered the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and NASCAR Nationwide Series in 2007 when they debuted the new Camry for both series.
