iPhone 5 Discount: AT&T Selling Refurbished Apple Product For $99 In US, iPhone 4S For Only $0.99

Apple's iPhone 5 is unquestionably one of the most popular smartphone devices available on the market, but with a base price of almost $200 the phone is not affordable for most U.S. citizens. If you're one of those people who has been dying for the newest Apple phone, AT&T has a solution for you.

The 16 GB version of the Apple phone is now available on the AT&T website for only $99, the lowest price for the iPhone since it was released this past September. The 32 GB version of the phone is now available for $199 and the 64 GB has been priced at $299. All prices are a limited time deal, so don't think too long about whether you should take advantage of the savings or not.

Most reviews have stated that the iPhone 5 is the best Apple phone to be released by the company since they first started producing phones in 2007. The phones are available in the black and white options and you must be eligible for an upgrade or be a new customer eligible for a two-year contract to receive the discount.

Despite the high price, the newest iPhone has been selling at a record pace. In the first month alone the company sold over 5 million phones, and many cell phone providers were forced to put out messages on their websites saying the phone was on backorder for up to a month. The Apple company has had a difficult time keeping up with orders lately due to the high demand, and because of that they're considering a new line of Apple phones called the iPhone 5S which has been rumored to start production this coming winter.

The Galaxy S3 and Nokia Lumia 920 have been worthy competitors however as they have been flying off the shelves in their own right. The Samsung phone was recently named the best-selling phone for 2012, mainly because it was out on the market before the iPhone 5 and for its low price.

The Galaxy also costs less with a base price of around $99 and has capitalized on the lack of iPhones available in stores. For example, when people go to a cell phone retail store and they're out of the iPhone, workers will then try talking up the Galaxy phone which comes with a larger screen than the iPhone and includes features that Apple has not included on a phone yet.

Most people go to a cell phone store with the mindset of leaving with a new phone, so even if half of the customers who come in looking to buy the new iPhone and the phone is out of stock, they're going to just chose the next best option.

AT&T also announced they've reduced the price for the16 GB version of the iPhone 4S online as well. You can now pay as low as $0.99 for the phone before picking a specific phone plan that works for you or your family members.
