Jobless Chad Johnson Buys New Toy

Even when things are going bad, Chad Johnson still knows how to get attention.

The former All-Pro receiver purchased a Lamborghini Aventador this weekend, which is saying something considering he doesn't currently have a job. He posted pictures of his new Lamborghini on Instagram stating how much he was "loving" his new ride. After dropping $376,000 for the car, he better be.

Johnson was arrested in August after a domestic incident occurred with his wife Evelyn Lozada where he reportedly head-butted her after a heated argument. He was later released the next day after posting a $2,500 bond. Lozada later filed for divorce from Johnson and the divorce was finalized this month.

Johnson played in the NFL for 10 years with the Cincinnati Bengals and the New England Patriots, but was cut after a lackluster first season in New England. He signed with the Miami Dolphins during the offseason, but the same day he was released from prison, he was cut from the Dolphins who felt that he would be too much of a distraction for the team to be successful. The footage of him getting cut by the Dolphins was publicized on the HBO show "Hard Knocks" the same week and the episode gained the highest ratings for the show in 2012.

In 2008 he made headlines for legally changing his name to Chad Ochocinco in reference to the number he wore, 85, in Cincinnati and then later in New England. Johnson sold a lot of jerseys due to the publicity, but this past July he decided the name had run its course and legally changed it back to Johnson. He also didn't want Lozada to have to change her name to Ochocinco as well.

At 34, there is a small chance the former Pro-Bowler could still catch on with a team, though it is unlikely due to his reputation. At least he now has a flashy ride to cruise around in.

The Aventador is a 2-door, 2-passenger luxury sports car that is equipped with a standard 6.5-liter, V12, 700-hoursepower engine.
