The 2017 Honda Civic Type R was spied testing In California Road and spy shots from car parazzis are now all over the internet. This is the second time that we see the development model of the recently introduced Honda Civic Type R Prototype and it looks like this time, it is on its final stage of testing and is ready for production. Will we get the much awaited Type R soon?

The 2017 Honda Civic Type R is in the final stages of development as we have seen recently with the presentation of the model at the SEMA 2016. Honda first revealed the new Civic Type-R at the 2016 Paris Auto Show. However, the beautiful specimen of black color that we saw in Paris is just a prototype. But recent spy photos show that the production version will be very close to the prototype shown according to RoadAndTrack.

The 2017 Honda Civic Type R shown in the video below shows the same external elements that the Type-R Prototype. The images are not of good quality, but clearly shows the body kit, which looks identical in its rear area, wheel arches and rear spoiler included, so we can expect that Honda will unveil a version of calcada series to the concept shown up now, and it will be marketed in the same configuration both in the US and Europe.

Like the Honda Civic hatchback, the Civic Type R will be manufactured at the plant of the brand in the UK and shipped from there to other countries, including the United States and Canada. The mechanical specifications are still a mystery, but is expected to have the 4 - cylinder VTEC Turbo engine, derived from the current Type-R, with a higher power figure, around 340 horses according to AutoEvolution.

Recent reports here at AutoWorldNews showed that its power will be managed exclusively front wheel drive and channeled wheels through a box manual gearbox six relations.

Watch the spy video of the 2017 Honda Civic Type R here where we expect that it can go on sale next year.
