If you were born in the 1990's, you might be familiar wth "Mortal Kombat" --- one of the most popular arcade games during those times. You might have even played the "Mortal Kombat X", another best-selling video game series. And it's all thanks to the owner and creator of this game, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios.

The long wait for another live-action adaptation of this immensely popular game is over as New Line officially found a director for the upcoming Mortal Kombat movie reboot --- a comeback after "Mortal Kombat" of Paul Anderson in 1995 and its sequel, "Mortal Kombat: Annihilation", according to VARIETY.

What makes this reboot more exciting is the quality of output the director, Simon McQuoid, can put into this film. Having seen an advertising campaign for Playstation, Ranger Rover, Beats by Dre, and Halo, a fine "Mortal Kombat" comeback is expected from him, just like how excellent and valuable his well-recognized and awarded ad projects are with those major companies.

After long years of waiting, Simon McQquoid, James Wan, and Greg Russo will collaborate to put this movie together and make it available for raving fans who have been ecstatic to watch "Mortal Kombat" on the big screen. McQuoid, a well-known Australian moviemaker and highly reputable commercial director, has ongoing conversations to direct the movie, which will be produced by Wan for the script written by Russo, according to ARABIANPOST's blog report.

An extraordinary arcade game franchise, with two live-action movie adaptations during the 1990's, "Mortal Kombat" now paves its way for the younger generation --- for them to see why it became so popular back then and for them to experience the thrill people have for this game.

Though this movie reboot of New Line has been long discussed, James Wan stated that they are taking the project one step at a time to make sure that it is done precisely as planned.
