Warning: Spoiler Alert
The Netflix series Stanger Things brought households to a standstill earlier this year. Similar in feel to Spielberg classic the Goonies movie it has everything a good story needs:
You have a missing kid with a hysterical mother; the gang of kids who set out to rescue him; the terrifying monster and the cowboy sheriff; a strange girl with superpowers who is hotly pursued by evil government scientists.
And the beautifully satisfying resolution, well worth the eight or so 45 minutes episodes the series runs for.
But for those us of who hunger for story and inspiration we are left with questions.
Questions such as what happens next? What is the upside down? What happens to 11? Will they bring back Barb?
Thankfully, Netflix has renewed their contract for a second season with a release date around July 2017.
The studios have released a mysterious trailer filled with episode names, which only add to the suspense and anticipation.
What Do We Know About the Second Season?
11 is still alive - David Harbour who plays the Chief Hopper has confirmed in an interview that the food left in the forest is for 11.
Chief Hooper is up to something. After the rescue the Chief is seen getting into a car with two mysterious suits from the secret government lab. Chiefs Hoopers daughters cancer will be explored in more detail
There are three new characters. The Hollywood reporter claims that their names are Max, Roman, and Billy.
Barb is not coming back. Matt Duffer has confirmed that she will not be returning in the second season.
Dr. Martin Brenner "Papa" survives. The actor Matthew Modine who plays Papa has confirmed that there will be a season two. Plus the camera cuts away after he is attacked by the Demogorgon before we can see his injuries.
It's going to be a sequel and not a new story. Matt Duffer has confirmed that the nine episodes will take place over six to seven days and explore the upside down, the monsters who live there and the repercussions of what has happened.
There are going to be more badass moments for the strong female characters.
