Missy Elliott Seeks Custody of Lamborghini Aventador

A lawsuit filed by singer Missy Elliott gives a window into how Lamborghini buyers finance their wheels.

According to TMZ, Elliott is suing Fox Valley Motor Cars of Westmont, Illinois for not delivering the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador that she negotiated for last year.

The suit claims that Elliott handed over $30,000 in cash and her 2005 Bentley, valued at $85,000, as the down payment for the Lamborghini, which she says had an agreed-upon price of $376,000 (and which she ordered in matte white).

The car was supposed to be delivered in mid-2012, but when the time came, Elliott claims, the dealer refused to come up with the car. Instead, they told her that the market price of the car had gone up, and she needed to pay the step-up price if she wanted the car.

She is suing for possession of the two-seater, plus damages.
