Kia Motors recently unveiled its latest Optima SX model targeted for the U.S. market.

The official press release states the model debuted at the 2012 Chicago Motor Show and later went into production at the automaker's U.S. plant in West Point Georgia.

"With the arrival of the Optima XL, the Kia Motors brand propels itself into a more premium class, which is something consumers have told us they want to see when they walk into our showrooms," said Tom Loveless, Executive Vice President of Sales, Kia Motors. "This Optima shows buyers that value and upscale character need not be mutually exclusive. For this reason, the SXL stands apart from traditional competitors in the mid-size segment."

The latest model comes with three distinct exterior colors: Ebony Black, Snow White Pearl and Titanium Metallic.

"It's chrome 18-inch wheels are what set this car apart while its engine is a 2.0 liter turbo GDI engine offering 274 HP and fuel efficiency of 24 mpg in city limits and 34 mpg on the highway," reads the press release.

With 755 dealers in the U.S, Kia has been official partners with the NBA and the LPGA Tour for the past few years.
