For five years, Tamara Ecclestone, daughter of Formula One chief Bernie Ecclestone, has been organizing rave parties for celebrities and F1 drivers to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Wednesday night, the British socialite did it again.
"We raised 650,000 pounds last year and this year, in my mind, the target is to beat that," she told reporters after the party. "Great Ormond Street is such an amazing place and obviously they need all the money we can get. These are hard times for people but I think people who come here tonight should dig deep and spend lots of money."
Bernie walked the bright pink carpet at the event, but refused to pose for photographers.
"It would be amazing if a Grand Prix was to be held in central London as has been suggested by my father," Tamara said. "I think London is such a fabulous city and Formula One is glamorous and fabulous and fantastic and street circuits have such a great buzz about them so I would all for it."
The event also paid tribute to Spanish test driver Maria de Villota, who recently lost her right eye after being seriously injured in a crash during a test drive on Tuesday.
