F1 2017 cars were said to be the same as this year's and may bring the drivers disappointment. Fernando Alonso also hinted that his F1 career as a racer may be cut short if certain changes aren't applied on the race cars, especially those that minimize the thrill.

Fernando Alonso participated with Lewis Hamilton at the Belgian Grand Prix last month. According to Alonso, the cars for next year may be similar to this year's which could be a disappointment for drivers.

As reported by Motor Sport, Alonso already hinted that he may cut his F1 racing career if the wheels he would be driving would remain the way they were this year - inefficient when it comes to speed.

During an interview, Hamilton manifested that Alonso is one of the best F1 racers in the world. However, he also revealed that it had been quite challenging for Alonso to improve his performance since the racing cars of today have become less competitive compared to those created last decade. Hamilton also hinted that Alonso sees himself in F1 2017 cars alongside Hamilton's Mercedes group.

Hamilton manifested the characteristics that may possibly be found in F1 2017 cars. He said that cars of today make the drivers want to slow down after their first throttle to save on gas, battery, and maintain tire quality for a longer stay on the track. He said that this was not the same mindset racers had to consider back in the day since their play were generally revolved around racing in a sprint. He even called the F1 games before as a more extreme race compared to how they raced now.

In other news, Auto Sport reported that Jenson Button, a McLaren driver, also shared the same fears that the others manifested during the Belgian Grand Prix. During an interview, he revealed, "I remember going through Turn 5 onto the back straight at Jerez and you would have one eye closed thinking 'is this thing going to hold?'"

Drivers such as Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button fear that the F1 2017 cars may carry with it the negative characteristics of the cars from this year - inefficient when it comes to fuel, battery, and wheel quality. They are hoping that the cars for next year would make them throttle at the start without having to worry too much about the saving tire, gas, and battery while racing.
