2017 Toyota Corolla Price Hike: Details, Prices and More

The Toyota 86, the name of which was inspired by the Corolla AE86 which was popular in the 80's among drifters, was given a few upgrades, together with the recently added badges. The iM, on the other hand, only had few major alterations apart from the naming scheme.

The newer version of the 86 is costlier by up to $950, the price of which, is dependent on transmission, with the average pride of the 6-speed manual set at $27,120, and for the automatic counterpart, $27,840. Competition-wise, it remains to be seen as to how much of a difference there would be in terms of the price between that of the Subaru BRZ.

The BRZ is usually undercut by the Scion. The base L model has increased to $19,365 to $600, but other, more advanced models have increased to $445.

The Corolla 2017 model will have only a few aesthetic changes, with the major changes including an emergency braking system which is automatic and of new standards, and also a new infotainment screen. The iM serves as Toyota's full-width car, with its price up by $290, as only minor modifications are seen.

Prices indicated are inclusive of a destination fee of $865. The updated models, according to Toyota, will be up for sale in dealer centers in the latter part of the next month.
