Lotus Formula One team has partnered with the American rock band Linkin Park to release a free iPad game.

The iPad game is called 'Linkin Park GP (Grand Prix)' and includes such courses such as the recently concluded Monaco Grand Prix. The app features top-notch graphics and music and will be launched as a free downloadable on all iTune stores worldwide.

Users will be able to drive an adventurous Lotus E20 Formula One car in 360 degree artificial environment with the original remix tune of Linking Park's recent hit 'Burn It Down' playing in the background.

"We are really happy to be able to collaborate with the Lotus F1 team to create a first of its kind of game that combines the thrill of Formula 1 with our song," Linkin Park member, Mike Shinoda, said. "Our fans love Formula One and this is a very fun way for them to be able to interact with our music."

The 'Linkin Park GP' iPad application has been designed by Clicmobile and the application uses an interactive graphic which will give a real time experience to the app user. As the user starts driving the Lotus F1 car, the high definition graphics allow the user to hear the remix version of the Linkin Park song 'Burn It Down' in the background as well as the user will go through an enthralling experience of graphics.

"People who follow our team know that we've always been close to the music world. Our music compilation launched in Australia being one example," CEO of Lotus 1, Patrick Louis, said. "Now we go a step further by creating our joint application with one of the biggest bands in the world. Linkin Park has millions of fans across the globe. We are happy to reach out to them and show that once again Lotus F1 Team is doing something creative and different in our communications approach. I would like to thank Warner Brothers Records, Universal Music and the band's management, The Collective, for their enthusiasm and contribution to this unique project."

To celebrate the tie-up of two different worlds, both the E20 models of Lotus F1 team cars carried the logo of Linkin Park in the recently concluded Monaco Grand Prix.
