Tesla Starts Delivering World’s First Electric Sedan

Tesla Motors announced that it will start delivering on 'the world's first premium electric sedan' S on Tuesday, which is slightly ahead of its schedule.

The Automaker said special customers will receive the Model S directly from the car manufacturer at an event organized at the Tesla Factory in California.

According to an official statement, the company has received more than 10,000 orders for the battery-powered car from all around the world. Tesla Motors plans to complete the process of delivering the 10,000 number of cars to the customers in different phases.

The announcement of delivering battery-powered sedan comes in the wake of the Tesla Motors founder Elon Musk financing the first private space shuttle into space. 

"Our major plans for this year was to build electric and battery powered cars, which can be used for general purpose as well as fit enough to race in the sports races," said Musk in an offical Tesla Motors statement. "We have kept our promise of delivering the world's first premium electric sedan to our loyal customers and we are hopeful to complete the full process of  completing delivery of 10,000 sedan cars."
