Manufacturers have added some wild technology into their cars in recent years. Voice-control infotainment systems, cars that park themselves, even cars that drive themselves are in testing. Jaguar Land Rover has a bold new idea: it would like to read your mind.

Still in the development stage, "mind sense" aims to predict what the driver is thinking. The mind sense division of the project will read the drivers brainwaves, according to The News Wheel. It will be able to detect if they are paying attention to the road or even sleepy. The sensors are installed into the steering wheel, which make the signal connections a little weak, but Jaguar is working on technology to improve the connection, according to Insider Car News.

Another project is an infotainment system that can predict what selection on the display screen the driver is going to make, Auto Focus reports. The company also wants to incorporate a gas pedal which becomes more difficult to push if you are already driving above the speed limit. The pedal would vibrate if the car has detected danger as well.

How drivers will react to such technology in future cars is questionable. It is in development, but will most likely not be available for quite a while. Jaguar is still working to improve the technology. The company also wants see if this is something that drivers actually want as features in a car.
