Skoda Unveils Enyaq Coupé iV; Rally Sport is Brand's 1st Hot Electric Vehicle With 295bhp Twin-motor

Skoda is set to expand its all-electric vehicle offerings with the Czech auto manufacturer introducing a new Enyaq Coupé iV for Europe. Skoda's new electric vehicle was unveiled alongside a sportier Rally Sport model. The EVs can come in two different battery sizes and either all- or rear-wheel drive.

The Enyaq Coupe iV is the first electric model from Skoda to gain a hot vRS performance version. Like the Volkswagen ID 5 GTX, the Enyaq Coupé vRS utilizes two electric motors, one on each axle. These motors offer 295-bhp and 338-lb ft, helping the car go 0-62 mph in just 6.5 seconds. The Enyaq Coupé vRS can post a top speed of 111-mph, significantly higher than the standard versions' top speed of 99-mph.

The car is also equipped with a 77kWh battery exclusively. This is the largest unit offered with Volkswagen Group's MEB architecture. Skoda has not yet confirmed the maximum range of the Enyaq Coupé vRS, but the similarly shaped and identically powered ID 5 GTX of Volkswagen manages 296 miles per single charge.

Skoda CEO proud of the new Enyaq Coupé iV

Skoda CEO Thomas Schäfer was proud of his company's latest product, saying, "the new Enyaq Coupé iV brings even more emotiveness, sports styling, and elegance to the Škoda iV family." Schäfer added that the firm's designers and engineers have once again succeeded in combining a high degree of functionality with an emotive design.

According to Schäfer, the Enyaq Coupé iV perfectly combines emotion with efficiency, offering the vehicle generous amounts of space, even in an exquisite body. Schäfer also made a special mention to the Rally Sport Enyaq Coupé, highlighting the first-ever all-electric Škoda RS as its brand-new range-topping model. It is the fourth series-production Skoda to gain a vRS range-topper, following the Kodiaq, Octavia, and Fabia.

Specs and interior of the Rally Sport Enyaq Coupé

The vRS model of the Enyaq Coupé features a suspension set-up that is 10-mm lower at the rear and 15-mm lower at the front, giving the car a sporty look. The Enyaq Coupé vRS sits on 20-inch wheels and features vRS badging as well as a gloss black vRS grille surround and rear diffuser.

The Rally Sport Enyaq Coupé also has Skoda's "Crystal Face" grille and a full-width red reflector strip at the rear, keeping with the design of previous vRS models.

Buyers of the Enyaq Coupé vRS also can paint the car in a new shade of Hyper Green. Regarding the vRS model's interior, the car can be specified with a bespoke Design Selection package. The Rally Sport Enyaq Coupé will be adorned with black perforated leather seats with grey piping and contrasting stitching, carbon fiber-effect trim elements, vRS-badged sports seats, and a leather-style dashboard.
