In 2021, the BMW i4 electric cars will b poised to be one of the best luxury EVs on show. Not in full production, this is already waited for in extreme anticipation.

In the car world, BMW has always been the badge that produced many great cars like the i8 and the big X7 SUV. That does not even include their very successful sedans series, that are the best-selling sedans. Soon to join this roster of well-made cars is the BMW i4 electric car which is a premium fully electric car. The race to produce the best electric car has spurred BMW to pull all the stops, design and engineering-wise all the cutting-edge tech inside the chassis.

All cars carrying the BMW badge have reliability, serviceability, and very lux compared to their other car labels. The i4 will continue the BMW DNA in a medium-size saloon category, which is joined by the Taycan, Model S, and even the e-Mustang. Ranged against this impressive selection of EVs, the i4 is confidently aimed at the premium market of EVs. So far, not many badges have joined this elite club.

Significant hustling on the part of BMW is a necessity to secure a place in the hallowed hall of premium EVs that will be the crème de la crème. This is the very first move, that is not only a game-changer but everything that the i4 is will be a turning point. Innovation is one of the most relevant traits of BMW, that led to technical developments that changed the automotive world. Crossing over the electric threshold will be another era of change that will cause aftershocks to the EV world.

One emphasis is to make green cars, that is very sustainable, and new technologies for more efficient electric vehicles too. The i4 is a key player to keep the carmaker abreast of their rivals EVs since diesel and gas-powered car will be around for a while.

No range anxiety with the i4 because it has a 370-cruising range, which is more than the Tesla Model S and Porsche Taycan. This is based on the WLTP standard that tests EVs for fuel efficiency and CO2 based on European emission standards. All EVs in the EU should comply with it as a standard for all EV carmakers.

BMW has prided itself producing fast and powerful sedans and roadster as their lineage. The i4 is no different, with an output of 523 hp that rockets to 124 mph (0-60 mph) in just 4-seconds. This is a bit slower than the Taycan but is equally capable.

Fast charging is the rage, and like the Taycan, it can power up to 150 kWh that equals about 80% in 35 minutes with a high-speed supercharger. The Model S has this feature, is in an altogether different slot. In a nutshell, it gets 62 miles per 6-minutes of fast charging that is better by far.

Slated for production in 2021, already it is generating a buzz all over. Nothing is final yet about it, and nothing about an official unveiling that will confirm all speculation. Till the BMW i4 climbs the stage, all is just excitement till the curtain rises.
