Over 300 Jobs Created for Porsche’s New Production Plant

Porsche confirmed this week that it is "making progress" on its $29-million Porsche Experience Center, which is set to become the future base of Porsche Motorsport North America.

The project is considered to be one of the most significant automotive endeavors currently going on in North America.

The project has created 310 jobs, 290 in Los Angeles and 20 in Southern California. Facility operation will result in the creation of 135 more jobs, including 130 in Los Angeles.

Images were released by the automaker to show what the facility should look like once it's completed.

The project is scheduled to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2014 in Carson, California.

Once completed the facility will generate approximately $22.5 million for the automaker every year, according to Porsche.

The 53-acre facility will include the Porsche Human Performance Center, Porsche Motorsport North America, and Porsche Experience.

The new complex will overlook Porsche's Test Track, which offers Porsche owners a number of track configurations and different surface conditions.

Porsche's Human Performance Center and sports science lab will also be featured at the complex.
