There are a lot of concepts thrown about in SEMA 2019, from modded 4x4s to Korean fast hatches. But this year, the legend is returning to grace the floor. Meet Japanese tuner royalty, the 2020 Toyota Supra and all the sweetness coming with it! It's dubbed as the "HKS USA MkV Widebody GR Supra Street Concept" that embodies the samurai spirit in a world where gas engines are shunned. For all these dream cars in full metal glory, carbon emissions are the stuff of dream.

There has been controversy whether the 2020 Toyota Supra is German or Japanese make. This street concept only shows all Japanese is what it is all about. If there is anything that BMW offered, it's the genes to handle the over-the-top mods. Lesser cars will not be as gifted. The MkV 2020 Toyota Supra just feels so right and good. No room for electrics here because it is all metal and fumes for hard-core gear-heads!

A high-performance street concept gets a distinctive look "A90" from add-on HKS original wide body kit. Installation of the parts helps streamline the car with its data gained from time attack mods. Most noticeable is a giant wing that pushes the body down for less drag. Performance tuners like the Supra have always been show stoppers. A "street beast" like the "A90" offers other options besides the hum-drum mods on stage in SEMA 2019.

Inside and out, this street racer gets primo HKS performance parts to the gills. Getting the most horses from the power-train is all-important. Increased boost pressure and bumped up power is achieved by HKS Power Editor. This pushes the power band to 400 horsepower, which is not enough as it seems. HKS is making tests on downpipe and Racing Suction for more air-intake to improve it better.

Better performance for the Supra is adding a Dual Muffler Exhaust with exhaust valve control unit (factory spec). This helps to efficiently control the air/fuel intake and boost performance over stock exhaust.

Ride and handling are crucial for drifting and maintaining balance, and overall shock dampening. Installed is HKS HIPERMAX Touring height-adjustable spring set (non-stock). Dampening the bumps is by electronically enhanced shock absorption for a better ride.

powerhouse A90 should have these mods. They are Endless Brakes, Yokohama ADVAN GT rims, comfort by Bride seats, and the coup-de-grace are tires by Yokohama ADVAN Apex V601. This completes the improved under-chassis mods for ripping roads ala "Fast and Furious."

The road to 2019 SEMA Show

It was first displayed in the "Goodwood Festival of Speed 2019", early 2019. HKS has produced concept mods in the past for the Supra. One is the MkII Supra with 186 mph top speed. Another is the 1991 Drag 70 Supra another A70 platform. 2001 it became a global sensation with Drag 80 Supra, that made HKS mods synonymous to the make.

See this Japanese tuner at the SEMA 2019 and see what HKS did to the A90 MkV. Metal and fumes in full glory for the motor-head.
