A look at the 2020 Ford Expedition and Ford Expedition Max: What is New with This Full-Size SUV

When it comes to SUVs, Ford is one of the brand names that stand out. For SUV enthusiasts, this is probably the first thing to come in mind. For this year, two trims like the 2020 Ford Expedition, and Ford Expedition Max are getting changes that come with it.

Prices start at $54,000 for the XLT which is a rear-wheel-drive (RWD), decide on 4WD Max Platinum and it costs $81,000 to drive home. This big SUV wagon does not come cheap with all the treats inside it and out. Between the 2020 Ford Expedition and Ford Expedition Max both are excellent SUVs worth the price tag.

King Ranch trim

Part of the package is 22-inch aluminum wheels, exterior grey accents, leather-clad seats with same interior accent pieces. King Ranch logo in and out. Costs about $74,290 for RWD, is in the middle of Limited and Platinum trim. It shares all the features of the other two models (Expedition and Max) as standard equipment

 Exterior dimensions

The length of the Expedition Max is longer by a foot compare to regular a sized model. The same volume in the cabin but the Max can accommodate more stuff in the third row.

Performance specifications of the Expedition and Expedition max

Look under the hood and inside is turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6, that spews out 375-horsepower. Equipped with a 10-speed automatic transmission to squeeze every iota of power from the V-6 engine.

The standard for all trims is a Rear-Wheel-Drive if you are not too picky. Opting for the Four-Wheel- Drive that offers more mobility over any terrain.

If the shift to a smaller turbo V-6 is a surprise, the full-size F-150 does well without the V-8 power mill. Comparatively a turbo V-6 will deliver more than enough power and acceleration when needed. Also, having a V-6 under the hood will gulp down less than V-8 monster engine.

Large SUVs like the Expedition can tow an approximate 9,300 pounds behind it. Perfect for hauling a camper trailer, or anything it can haul.

Available interior trim (Expedition and Expedition Max)

Equipped in all models is the Ford Co-Pilot360 which is a full array of advanced driver-assist features. What comes with it are the following features that are included in the full suite. These features enhance safety by warning the driver of danger, or they deploy automatically.

1. Automatic Emergency Brake

 2. Lane-keep assist

 3. Blindspot warning

 4. Pedestrian detection sensors

Connectivity is important for infotainment and other car systems. Get FordPass Connect that includes a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot to connect hand-held devices any time. Now, it is standard not an optional trim.

Up to eight passengers can squeeze in the big cabin, seating in the third row will be comfortable for adults. Plus, the third row is a power-folding seat that stores with ease to add more cargo space inside the rear bay.

The 2020 Ford Expedition and Ford Expedition Max are exceptional. Standard features that are in all models, plus some upsizing adds more volume in the cabin. Inclusion of a connectivity suite, interior, driver-assist makes this SUV very interesting, especially when buying one.
