It's a fact of life that cars are needed for daily activities every day! Owning one is very important for personal mobility and especially when we go on road trips. Another thing about having a car is that they don't come cheap. Next to owning your own home, this is just as important to note. But, for those intending to keep their car in service for a longer time. Car maintenance might be less but has made cars last longer too. Timing chains not belts

Replacing rubber timing belts with chains, because steel timing chains are more durable, and last longer. They don't lose elasticity or warp due to heat and stress. Breaking a rubber timing belt is hard to replace as well! Using steel timing chains that meant fewer threats of breaking. Steel timing chains were an assurance of no problems like that which conked cars out!

Better electronics are standard now
Cars are loaded with electronics to warn the driver of possible problems and add safety systems that deploy automatically. Even entry models have decent electronics compared to a decade ago! Production cars are laden with electronics that guessing the problem is just diagnosing the ECU.

Better engine oil and Synthetic oil options
Modern engines are sophisticated and need high-quality oils for lubrication. The introduction of synthetic oil has improved heat performance and keeps moving parts less abraded.

 Choosing synthetic engine is even recommended as the better one for performance cars.

Fuel injection for better efficiency
Before the introduction of fuel injection that meant cars did not burn fuel, in even amounts. This wasn't very cost-effective at all! Using fuel injection controlled by sensors allow efficient fuel burn in the exhaust manifold better. Fuel injection is now installed in all cars, even the entry-level cars as a standard feature.

Precise assembly of the cars at auto plants
Making cars using robots mostly, instead of human workers is faster and efficient. This assembly-line assembles all components automatically from top to bottom. This reduces manufacturing error to a minimum when considering human fatigue. What you get after assembly is a well put together cars that has a minimum of error in the components.

Modern cars need less maintenance
The flipside of having cars that are better than ever is the need to be more careful to maintain them well! High-quality parts and manufacture need proper attention. Yes, cars may last longer but to be intentionally negligent is not advisable because their complexity can cause expensive problems!

Cars made with improved car technology is a boon, but there are important things that should be forgotten. No matter how well-made cars are now, they will need regular maintenance to keep running even at 200,000 kilometers at the odometer. Repair and replace the part that is crucial for a pristine running condition to keep the car longer!
