2017 Honda Civic Si Brings An Awesome Sporty Demeanor To The Civic!

The Honda Civic is undeniably the best-selling car in the whole of the U.S. Even more monumental is its performance amid the gut-wrenching poor car sales. More than 500,000 units of it were sold in just 18 months! With the introduction of 2017 Honda Civic Si, this number is expected to even grow significantly.

The 2017 Honda Civic Si together with the Type R are expected to ride on Civic's excellent platform with 25 percent torsional rigidity and 100 pounds weight advantage compared to the previous Si. The Si promises to have exterior upgrades such as having a revised front bumper with larger openings and 18-inch wheels with 235/40 tires.

It is also 5 mm lower compared to the standard Civic. Not only is it lower, which is overall beneficial to its overall performance, its interior does have a host of promising features as well. It has a red gauge cluster with rev meter, lateral G-meter, and lap timer. The red stitching on the steering wheel adds to the sporty vibe altogether.

The 2017 Civic Si is powered by the same 1.5-liter turbocharged engine similar to the Civic EX-T but has larger turbocharger feeding. It is capable of producing 205-horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque. This translates to an additional 31-horsepower.

It has stiffer springs, bushings, and suspension, which is expected in the first place. The Civic Si also has a two-mode adaptive damper system. The two modes can be switched from a firmer Sport to a more relaxed Normal mode.

There is definitely a lot to expect in the Honda Civic Si. It is packed with advanced features sure to please every discerning buyer.

Honda has yet delivered another impressive car in the form the 2017 Honda Civic Si. Even as it retained the same power output, Honda definitely has the good explanation for it. Meanwhile, for more news and updates, check out Auto World News.
