Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Leaks: First Sketch Surfaces Online

The tech community is excited to know what Samsung has in store for them this year. The most talked about device is the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. The latest batch of leaks has provided some interesting details about the upcoming flagship device from the South Korean tech giant.

A sketch of an image believed to be that of the Galaxy Note 8 was recently shared by Shashleaks. It shows a somewhat large device that looks hauntingly familiar with the Galaxy S8. The device does not sport a Home Button on the front side and it has very thin side bezels.

At the bottom edge of the device shows what appears to be a housing for the S Pen, according to Mashable. There is also a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The last feature has come rather as a surprise as Samsung is widely rumored to join Apple in ditching the conventional audio jack.

The leak also revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will have a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with 4K resolution. Two variants will be released depending on region, with the model dropping in the United States sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. Samsung has yet to confirm it, but it is widely speculated that the tech giant will use its own 9-series Exynos chipset to power the other model.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is also expected to pack a massive 6GB of memory and up to 256GB of storage space. While these rumors are all interesting, it is important to take all of these with a grain of salt, especially since Samsung has kept mum about it. Samsung will hold the Galaxy Unpacked 2017 event on March 29 in New York where the company is expected to launch the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus devices.
